Each CURT forged ball mount is designed to surpass other 2-1/2 options to accommodate the added stress of heavy-duty towing. Forged steel construction makes these ball mounts able to tow up to 20,000 lbs. of gross trailer weight. CURT forged ball mounts can also handle trailer tongue weight up to 2,700 lbs. They come with a black carbide powder coat finish to provide the necessary protection against rust, scratches and UV damage. All CURT forged ball mounts feature a 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 shank, allowing them to fit into any trailer hitch with the same size receiver tube. The CURT class 5 Commercial-Duty hitch is an ideal counterpart for one of our forged ball mounts. With their especially high towing capacity, forged ball mounts are frequently used on full-size pickups, SUVs, flatbeds and other commercial trucks.
