Frequently Asked Questions

Match the driveshaft to the exact vehicle and driveline configuration, including front or rear position, wheelbase, transmission, transfer-case or axle connection, and the shaft length or interface specified for the application. Modified vehicles may also need actual measurements. Do not choose a shaft only by appearance or a similar vehicle name.

Possibly. A lift changes the relationship between the transfer case, axle, and driveshaft, which can change operating angle and sometimes required shaft length, especially on short-wheelbase or high-articulation applications. Use the driveshaft manufacturer’s fitment or measurement guidance for the finished suspension setup instead of assuming the original-length shaft is still correct.

Use the measurement method specified by the driveshaft manufacturer because slip-yoke, flange, and yoke-to-yoke designs use different reference points. Measure the vehicle at normal ride height after any suspension, axle, transmission, or transfer-case changes, and record the attachment style and U-joint or flange details along with length. For a custom shaft, use actual vehicle measurements rather than ordering from lift height alone.
