The Rhino-Rack Backbone Mounting System is a heavy-duty internal support solution engineered specifically for the Jeep JL Wrangler Hard Top. Designed to significantly increase your vehicle’s roof load capacity, this system enables you to mount a Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform or a 2 or 3-bar roof rack system with confidence and strength.

The Backbone system uses three high-strength mounting plates on each side, connected to an internal frame that evenly distributes the load across the hardtop. With a maximum dynamic load rating of 120kg (264lbs), it’s ideal for carrying roof tents, jerry cans, recovery gear, or adventure equipment over rough terrain or long distances.
