Toolbox Keys

If you lose your toolbox key, Omni Garage carries replacements for a variety of toolboxes so you never have to look far. Some might require a key code to replace. This is located on the outside of the lock cylinder, next to where the key is inserted. This can be a lifesaver for when you’re locked out and need to get into your toolbox quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Look for the key code stamped on the face of the toolbox lock cylinder, usually near the key opening, then choose a replacement key that matches both that code and the correct lock series. Don't choose a key based only on the toolbox style or brand. Different paddle-handle, Secure Lock, and pull-handle systems can use different key families even when they're installed on similar toolboxes.

If the lock still operates normally and you can identify its key code, a matching replacement key is usually all you need. If the cylinder is damaged, seized, or the identifying code can't be read well enough to match a key confidently, replacing the compatible lock cylinder may make more sense. Match a new cylinder to the toolbox's existing handle or lock system rather than assuming toolbox locks are universal.
