Portable Air Compressors

Frequently Asked Questions

Airflow and duty cycle matter more than maximum PSI. Higher CFM fills tires faster, and larger off-road tires or airing up all four after the trail need more of both. Check the CFM at a working pressure, not just free flow, and the duty cycle, which tells you how long the compressor can run before it must cool down. A dual-motor compressor suits big tires or frequent use.

Smaller compressors can, but higher-output models draw too much current for the socket and connect directly to the battery with clamps. Check the compressor’s amp draw against your socket’s fuse, and run the engine while inflating so the compressor gets full voltage.
